We represent a carefully selected group of reputable insurance companies that will best meet our client needs. History

RealCare was founded and incorporated by Thomas Henry in 1994. However, our ownership and management team has worked in the insurance industry since 1983. In 2006 RealCare joined with National Financial Partners (NFP), the ninth largest independent broker in the U.S. Joining forces with NFP gives RealCare a breadth and depth of resources we did not have as a small independent firm. We have access to additional resources, better buying power and preferred carrier relationships, but we continue to manage our business based on the principals upon which it was founded. Our partnership with NFP gives us the best of both worlds.

Service Philosophy

RealCare was founded on the principles of integrity and service. We strive to earn and keep business by understanding the needs and challenges of our clients; seeking the best possible product to meet those needs; and being around when our clients need us after the sale is made.

Partnerships

We have enjoyed a long term relationship with the California Association of REALTORS® (C.A.R.) and in 1994 qualified C.A.R. as a “guaranteed association” under the newly passed laws set forth under A.B. 1672. This law established a new era in group insurance coverage in California. Through this C.A.R. was afforded the opportunity to qualify as a guaranteed association – a designation that enables individual C.A.R. members to enroll in health insurance on a guaranteed issue basis.

In 1999 RealCare became a licensed Third Party Administrator in the State of California and assumed responsibility for billing and remitting premium on the C.A.R. group health plans. Our TPA services are available to associations as well as employer groups. Through our TPA we can provide clients with consolidated billing for multiple product lines – easing your administrative burden!

In December of 2010 C.A.R. named RealCare as their endorsed property and casualty agency as well. This affords us the opportunity to work with C.A.R. members on all lines of insurance including E&O, Workers’ Compensation, General Liability as well as the members individual personal insurance needs such as auto and homeowners insurance.
